12 No-Cook Dishes for Hot Summer Nights

As we get into the dog days of summer, the last thing anyone wants is more heat in their house. Luckily, there are several ways you can still create a delicious and nutritious dinner – and leave the heat outside where it belongs.

One of the best ways to keep it cool this summer, and a personal household favorite, is breakfast for dinner. Whether it’s something simple like these Easy to Please Yogurt Parfaits,  microwavable instant S’mores Oatmeal or trendy Pomegranate-Cherry Smoothie Bowls, breakfast can be a refreshing break from the traditional dinner menu. To complete your spread, you can even add in a few Cheese and Fruit Kabobs, featuring sweet chopped fruit, savory cheese cubes, fluffy toaster waffles and a yummy yogurt-marmalade sauce for dipping or drizzling.

For a more traditional dinner motif, a salad can be a sweet retreat into a heatless night. The Italian Salad or Romaine, Pear and Cheese Salad are both conventional takes on salad night, whereas these Caprese Salad Skewers can bring a Mediterranean twist to your standard fork-and-knife dish. If you are looking for an Instagram-worthy salad with all the flavor of a five-star restaurant, this Seven Layer Salad is an artful blend of flavors and vibrant colors to display on your tablescape.

Last, but not least, don’t forget dessert! End the night on a sweet note with our fruity Raspberry Orange Frozen Yogurt Bark or go all out with this decadent No-Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake. You can also never go wrong with a scoop of Kow Castle Ice Cream or these Creamy Orange Ice Pops for a refreshing after-dinner snack.

Keeping your family gathered around the table year-round doesn’t have to mean bringing additional heat into your home. With a few heat-free recipes for the hottest of summer days, you can keep the temperatures cool and your bellies – and hearts – full.
