- 1 (15-ounce) can black beans (approx. 1 ¾ cups, divided), drained and rinsed
- ⅓ cup onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 4 ounces shredded pepper jack cheese
- ½ cup salsa
- 8 slider buns

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- In a food processor or blender, combine 1 ¼ cup beans, onion, garlic and cumin. If you don’t have a blender, mash by hand with a fork or potato masher.
- Process until well combined.
- Add remaining beans, breadcrumbs and cheese and pulse several times.
- Transfer to a bowl and mix with hands until well combined.
- Form into 8 patties and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 18 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
- Serve on slider buns topped with 1 tablespoon of salsa per slider.
